The “Ripped To Shreds” demo/ep was the start to what one would “call” a career in music. I remember it being recorded at the beginning of February 2007, two weeks before my 16th birthday. We were only in the studio for one day with the session lasting about four hours in total. All of us were between the ages of 13-15 at that time. You have to remember, that back in 2007, the only bands that were coming up in Orange County were metal core bands and this demo was our “fuck you” to them all. It was the first time that we ever stepped foot into a recording studio. We worked for months preparing for this and it ended up being a very enjoyable experience. I remember all of the songs being recorded from start to finish in literally one take for the most part. There were no overdubs and it was done without a click track or metronome. We just went in there and played as a band and what you are hearing is the result of that. So sit back and enjoy the start to what would become a legendary release for Orange County metal. - Tanner Poppitt
